- Educational Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university is mandatory. Candidates must have their degree or a valid mark sheet at the time of registration, with the ability to indicate the percentage of marks obtained.
- Age Limit: Candidates must be between 20 to 30 years old as of August 1, 2024. This means applicants should have been born no earlier than August 2, 1994, and no later than August 1, 2004. There are also age relaxations for reserved categories—5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (NCL), and 10 years for PWD candidates.
Selection Process
The selection process for IBPS PO/MT Recruitment 2024 includes:
- Preliminary Exam: A one-hour online test comprising 100 questions split into three sections—English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. Each section carries 30-35 marks, and the exam serves as a qualifier for the main exam.
- Main Exam: A more comprehensive test with 155 questions across various topics, including Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, General Awareness, English Language, and Data Analysis & Interpretation. Additionally, there is a section for English Language (Letter Writing & Essay) with 25 marks.
- Interview: Shortlisted candidates from the main exam will be called for an interview, conducted by the participating banks. This stage is coordinated by a nodal bank in each state/UT, with assistance from IBPS.
- Document Verification and Provisional Allotment: Successful candidates will undergo document verification before being provisionally allotted to one of the participating banks based on merit and preference.
Salary Structure
The IBPS PO/MT position offers a lucrative pay structure, starting with a basic pay of ₹27,620/-. The salary package includes several increments, leading up to a higher pay scale depending on the years of service and performance.
