1. Early Acting

Shannen Doherty started acting at 11 years old. She guest starred on TV shows like “Voyagers!” and “Father Murphy”. But her big break came when she was cast as Jenny Wilder on “Little House on the Prairie” in 1982. Working alongside Michael Landon who starred in and produced the show Shannen became a household name.

2. Breakout in “Beverly Hills, 90210”

In 1990 Shannen Doherty was cast as Brenda Walsh in the Aaron Spelling produced series “Beverly Hills, 90210”. Her Brenda earned her a Young Artist Award nomination. The show was a huge success and made Shannen a 90s teen icon.

3. From “Heathers” to “Charmed”

Shannen’s range as an actress was evident in her varied roles. In 1989 she starred in the cult classic “Heathers” as Heather Duke, a role that showed she could do dark comedy.
